50th anniversary - Branson Trip

All of the family will be getting together next week from Sunday, June 5th to Friday, June 10th in  Branson, Missouri.  This trip has been over a year and a half in the making.  To have all of the family together it has taken a lot of planning but it's actually going to happen.

Activities will include a family photo, boating and skiing on tablerock lake, staying in a georgous cabin a few minutes from the water, going to Silver Dollar City, and just hanging out together at the cabin with family.  I couldn't ask for a better vacation.

My hope is that the time with the family will be meaningful and enjoyable.  I also hope that frustrations can be aired and there won't be too much conflict to deal with.  We will only be together for a few days and should have plenty of activities to keep us busy, so frustrations can be avoided with busyness.

Aside from those worries, I am truly looking forward to time with the relatives and just spending time together and enjoying each other's company.

We leave on Saturday morning at 7 am.  We have some tasks to accomplish before then, but the main focus of this week will be getting ready for the trip and staying healthy for the trip.

Wednesday, June 15

The trip was pretty much everything I could have hoped for.  The main thing that was disappointing was the distance that Susie kept going back to at times when it seemed that we were enjoying each other's company during various activities.  That made me kinda sad.  It was that time of the month so I wonder if that impacted how she acted toward me.  (I don't see a way to reach her.  Any attempt seems to fall flat, though I haven't been very intentional in trying to reach her.  I need to go into my old notes from when we met with Scott to see if that gives any insight into how to reach her.  I'm not loving Scott right now either.  He's spending so much quality time with my wife, and I'm spending no valuable time with her.)

I have enjoyed making the doc of the pictures from the trip.
